Plus with Optimo’s Watching Trees festival on hiatus this year, the Glasgow-basd strongholds will bring Watching Trees to the Sputnik for a very special takeover. Across 5 areas theres something for everyone at FM. For dancers, find heady club vibes in the main tent and deep dancefloor intimacy in the hazy Laika, through to no-holds barred rave NRG in the infamous laser-filled Sputnik and hands-in-the-air party magic at the sunsoaked outdoor stage. For those looking to kick back, the cozy late night ambient tent is a perfectly primed chill out zone, and the FM Fruit Machines will be flashing in the Packit Inn pub once again.

Renowned for it’s impressive programming, with the best DJ’s spinning everything from ambient, IDM and electro, jungle, breaks, bass and garage, through to house, techno, happy hardcore and donk, Field Maneuvers has always been a unique space for music lovers and party-people, it’s line up testament to the party’s core values – eclecticism, inclusivity and incomparable music. Surviving 10 years is no easy feat – the festival raised over £40k last year just to stay afloat, following the impact of the pandemic and the cost of living crisis. All thanks to their dedicated fans across the globe, an extra special celebration is in order this year.

On their 10th anniversary, Field Maneuvers say,

“A designer we once worked with said “FM is good at a self-deprecating tagline”. We hadn’t really noticed how consistently we were poking fun at ourselves until he pointed it out. And it’s true. When FM was started 10 years ago by a group of friends who liked to party,  we didn’t know what we’re doing. We’re not promoters. We’re not DJs. We just wanted to put on inclusive gatherings with amazing artists, sound systems and visuals, with the sole goal of showing everyone a good time. 10 years on and we think it’s safe to say we’ve got a bit of experience in putting on a good party.

At the first FM in 2013 everything was done on a wing and a prayer and it was hard work persuading established artists to travel to a field in the middle of nowhere on the promise of a party. We’ve come a long way since then and after the uncertainty of last year and run a crowdfunder last year, we’re still pinching ourselves that for this 10th edition of FM it feels incredible to be collaborating with such iconic and uncompromising stage partners.

We hope you can join us and help us celebrate reaching this milestone <3”
