MF Quinn breathes new life into the golden era of tech house with his productions, seamlessly merging classic grooves with a contemporary edge. His latest EP, “Bad Side”, consists of three pure quality, vocal-led tech house cuts that announce his arrival in style. We got the opportunity to speak with MF Quinn about this EP and much more
Let us in on who MF Quinn is?
“I’m just a regular guy who likes making house music. I’m a dad, husband, and have been working in software engineering for years. My main focus is family, love, and music. My journey into music production started as a hobby, a way to unwind and express myself creatively outside of my daily routine. Over time, it became a passion that I’ve pursued alongside my professional career. I strive to create tracks that resonate on an emotional level while keeping the energy high for the dance floor. For me, it’s about blending the joy of life with the beats and rhythms that make us move. Music has always been a way to connect with others and share a part of myself, and that’s what I hope to bring to my listeners as MF Quinn.”
Describe your sound using five words
“Groovy, Melodic, Deep, Energetic, Introspective.”
We had the pleasure of hearing your upcoming EP, “Bad Side”. Piano stabs and deep tech-inspired basslines are just a fraction of what listeners will enjoy. What was the inspiration behind this project?
“The inspiration behind ‘Bad Side’ came from reflecting on the complexities of life in our post-pandemic world. I also drew inspiration from a good friend who got me back into house music and who passed away a couple of years ago. His passion for the genre reignited my own and pushed me to create music that honors that spirit. Additionally, my 4-year-old son’s favorite song is ‘One More Time,’ a Daft Punk cover from Trolls World Tour, and he already knows what ‘the drop’ is. He thinks all EDM is techno, which is cute and shows what joy music can bring. I wanted to capture that pure, unfiltered joy and passion in my music. Tracks like ‘Bad Side,’ ‘Hypnotic,’ and ‘Desire’ each explore different facets of these experiences”
What’s your favourite track on the project and why?
“My favorite track on the project is ‘Bad Side.’ I made that track first, and it carved the path for the entire EP. It shaped both my production techniques and workflow, giving me the confidence and momentum to finish the project. The energy and depth of ‘Bad Side’ set the tone for the other tracks, making it a foundational piece of the EP.”
Who would be your dream producer to collaborate with?
“My dream producer to collaborate with would be Mark Knight. His ability to blend different elements of house and techno into cohesive, powerful tracks is something I deeply admire. Mark’s work with Toolroom Records has been a major influence on my own sound, and I believe a collaboration with him would be both inspiring and incredibly enriching.”
What’s your favorite MF Quinn track?
“Besides ‘Bad Side’, My favorite MF Quinn track has to be ‘Desire.’ It encapsulates everything I strive for in my music: a strong emotional core, memorable hooks, and a groove that makes you want to move. The track has a perfect balance of introspection and energy, making it a standout for me.”

What’s next for MF Quinn?
“What’s next for MF Quinn includes finishing up a couple of singles that I’m really excited about. I’m also planning to collaborate with other artists and perform live more frequently to connect with fans directly. Additionally, I’m exploring new technologies in music production and distribution to push the boundaries of tech house even further. There’s a lot in the pipeline, and I can’t wait to share more with my audience.”
