Nottingham rap duo Young T & Bugsey drop their 3rd mixtape, “Beyond Rea5onable Doubt” featuring recent drops, “Dundee” and “Soca”, executively produced by Young T himself.
After a two-year break for some well-deserved personal time, the duo are back, more inspired and eager than ever to unleash their latest project. These Mobo Award-winning and Brit-nominated artists are not only celebrated for their hits but also for their authenticity and warmth, making them two of the most beloved figures in the industry.
With “Beyond Rea5onable Doubt,” they stay true to their distinct sound spanning Rap, Afro-swing and Caribbean cadences, proving once again that their artistry knows no bounds. The project packs a punch with club anthems like “Set Good,” “Jiggy,” “ABCD,” and “Mykonos”. For a more introspective journey, tracks like “T’s Therapy Session” offer a deep dive into their mindset. The vibe slows down with sultry jams like “Suberia”, “Grown Folk Music”, and “3 AM,” showcasing their versatility.
Clocking in at just under 30 minutes, this project is a whirlwind of emotions and energy. The pair enlisted A-List producer JAE5 for the lead single “Fake Can’t Stay” and stated it “ is sure to set speakers alight here in the UK and around the world! The mixture of classic tongue n cheek lines and lyrics from us, with substance scattered across the song, this one is sure to resonate with a lot of people worldwide!”
Young T & Bugsey are artists with an extensive discography filled with chart-topping hits like “4×4,” “Gangland,” “Ay Caramba,” “Strike a Pose,” and the iconic “Don’t Rush.” What many don’t know is that T is the creative force behind “Ay Caramba,” “Strike a Pose,” and “Big Business.” Known for their collaborative spirit, they have teamed up with esteemed artists such as Headie One, Aitch, BLXST, and Fredo, resulting in a string of platinum-certified and top-10 singles that solidify their status as trailblazers in the UK music scene.
Recently, Bugsey celebrated the long-awaited attainment of UK citizenship and the arrival of his son, marking profound milestones in his life. Meanwhile, Young T, a proud father to his 6-year-old daughter, continues to craft exceptional beats, driven by a passion to showcase their talents to the world. As they prepare to release new music this year, the duo has been spotted in the front row at London Fashion Week for designers such as Labrum, Ahluwalia, and Robyn Lynch.
Meeting at the age of 15, Young T & Bugsey began a remarkable journey together, supporting each other through every twist and turn in both their professional and personal lives. They are deeply grateful to their community, especially the youth clubs in Nottingham, which played a crucial role in their development. In a heartfelt gesture last year, they organised a ‘Back To School’ event in September 2023, providing essential school supplies to children in their local area. The pair will return with the second instalment on 7th September in Nottingham.
Continuing their journey with gratitude, Young T & Bugsey aspire to extend their impact beyond music, aiming to inspire others with positivity and success. The coming weeks are brimming with activity for the team, including a “Beyond Rea5onable Doubt” launch party in London, in-store events across the country, and a Fan Football event at Basford FC in Nottingham. In 2024, they seek to redefine the role of artists by offering a fresh perspective on creativity and success in the modern world. They have garnered significant support from BBC 1Xtra’s Eddie Kadi, Capital Xtra’s DJ Semtex and Manny Norte, and Apple Music’s Charlie Sloth.
