With Festival season well and truly in full swing, we ask the question? What is the UK’s best electronic dance festival? This week it’s all about Eastern Electrics and here are 5 reasons why it’s one of the UK’s best.
Everyone knows a festival ain’t sh*t if the lineup doesn’t come correct! That’s festival basics 101 so any festival worth your hard-earned cash needs to get this bit right.
Eastern Electric has that bit on lock. With a there lineup being so deep it’s difficult to get it all in, check the full lineup here!
With these 6 main stages, The Big Top, Switchyard, The Substation, Electric City, The Plant House and The Pool Party and that doesn’t even include the Mainstage you know it’s going to bang!
If it has a beat, and it’s electronic it’s covered, with so many festivals dedicated to one specific type of music it’s refreshing for once to have all your musical needs dealt with at one festival.
This year’s Eastern Electrics Festival has House, Grime, UKG, DnB, Dubstep and Hip Hop on lock from Matt Jam Lamont to Hatcha, Skream to Sian Anderson, Goldie to Big Narstie! What more could you ask for?
This might be controversial but we all know South is best right? It might be because it’s our manor or that whenever you’re in a rave and they say! South London Crew….there’s only ever one winner. But this festival being in dirtty south only adds to the appeal.
Want a little taster? Here’s our video from last year’s event
Eastern Electrics new-ish home in Morden Park only seem to get bigger and better which brings us nicely on to our next point.
Wait so you’re telling me when you’re tired of dropping your moves on grass, you can now take your shuffling techniques to the pool!
Yeah, you read right people and this year EE festival will have an exclusive swimming pool stage, making Eastern Electrics the first festival to have a swimming pool stage for the fans.
For the ultimate experience, you’re gonna have to bring your speedo’s and googles as catching a vibe while in a swimming pool is exactly what the festival doctor ordered.
This swimming pool is coming courtesy of Cuckoo Land, the legends behind the water hype in Ibiza. Get ready for a wet and wild Saturday as acts like Hannah Wants will be bringing the noisy anthems. And on Sunday, Kiss FM will be taking over the stage with acts like Majestic.
A truly historic event. Who doesn’t want to be apart of history?
With any event, the headliner’s determine the perception of how epic your gathering is likely to be. So cutting corners is not an option. This is your mission statement, your premiership title and Oscar nomination rounded into one. Get this wrong and you might as well call it a day!
So who’s headlining this badboy?
MK probably one of the most iconic DJ/Producers for the past 20 Years.
Elvin Zedo for those that don’t know legendary DJ EZ has gone back to his techno roots under this pseudonym.
Goldie one of the originators of Drum & Bass and legendary DnB Metalheadzowner.
And that’s just to name a couple from the mainstage across the two days. So when we said the mainstage needs to be the prem, these guys didn’t disappoint and this is why Eastern Electrics Festival has to be one of the UK’s Best Electronic Music Festivals!
