Born and raised in the bustling scenes of North London, ThaFirst’s intoxicating artistry is a product of his creative environment. His father, grime veteran and Boy Better Know innovator Frisco, exposed him to UK sound culture alongside one of the city’s most important musical collectives. With grime’s fundamental influence on the landscape, this pivotal insight opened opportunities for the young artist to experience the industry first-hand, watching his father centre stage alongside the likes of Skepta, Jammer and JME amongst others, enabling him to curate his own diverse musical makeup from early on.
