UK Garage DJ & Producer Silva Bumpa is back with a bang, releasing latest single, ‘Songs of Praise’. An electrifying club banger, the track features North London MC Capo Lee and is released via influential label Locked On Records
Building on the impressive success of recent single releases ‘What About The DJ?’ and the 2000s-inspired ‘Without U’ featuring Megan Wroe, Silva Bumpa continues to push boundaries and explore new sonic landscapes. ‘Songs of Praise’ is set to further solidify his position as one of the most exciting artists in the garage scene today.
‘Songs of Praise’ delivers an infectious, uptempo, grime-influenced garage sound that has done damage in the clubs following recent test plays. The track boasts a dark, growling bassline that serves as the perfect backdrop for MC Capo Lee’s slick lyricism and effortless flow. Together, Silva Bumpa and Capo Lee have created a dynamic and unapologetic collaboration.
Speaking on the track, Silva Bumpa said: “I’ve been a massive fan of Capo for a long time and always wanted to hear what he would sound like over some 06/07 bassline kinda stuff. I played him the beat and thankfully he rated it, so I’m super happy with how it turned out.”
Silva Bumpa’s sounds combine UK bass grit with the singalong bounce of club classics, bottling the effervescent spirit of mid-noughties bassline with solid songwriting. Following releases on influential underground labels Hardline, ec2a and ATW Records, the Sheffield artist is gracing iconic imprint Locked On for his most ambitious body of work yet – his debut EP ‘What About The DJ?’, set for release on 25th April. Building on the success of Silva Bumpa’s last single, the timeless sounding ‘Without U’ featuring rising artist Megan Wroe, the 22 year old continues to make waves in the club scene. Making his Boiler Room debut in Liverpool alongside Skream and Benga in January, Silva Bumpa has a busy 2024 with upcoming performances in Oxford, Sheffield, Cardiff, Leeds, Brighton, Manchester and London (Corsica Studios).
