Oozing with confidence – fresh from pocketing a MOBO nomination for ‘Best Newcomer’ — UK rap trailblazer Rimzee drops off a melodic, groove-ridden single assisted by NSG. The six-member collective kickstart the track with an instantly recognisable hook from Lukas Graham’s smash hit “7 Years”, taking it in turns to serve up their individual versus before Rimzee enters the fray with his trademark poignant lyricism atop choppy percussive elements and smooth instrumental sampling. A refreshing soundtrack showcasing Rimzee’s versatility as a multi-faceted artist who can hop between different genres.

Rimzee’s latest project, Feed The Streets, is a scintillating and powerful tape layered with trademark Rimzee flows and tales, alongside a string of star-studded features from the likes of Potter Payper, Arrdee, Berwyn, Youngs Teflon, Meekz, M1llionz and NSG, as well as a bonus track from Bobby Shmurda & Chani Nattan. The tape is a UK rap masterclass from start to finish, spotlighting Rimzee at his very best.

The UK artist has left an undeniable imprint in the rap landscape since the release of his acclaimed debut project, The Upper Clapton Dream, in 2012 — a tape that boasts longevity and culture —with the follow up Upper Clapton Dream 2 releasing in 2020, containing 13 songs and features from the likes of Potter Payper, M24, Ay Em, Snap Capone and Stardom amongst others. Last year saw Rimzee release his most complete body of work yet in Cold Feet, spanning eighteen immaculately curated tracks exploring past pain and trauma — charting independently at #11. Joined by the likes of K-Trap, Giggs, Emeli Sandé, Maverick Sabre, Nemzzz and Tiggs Da Author, Cold Feet was a landmark release, demonstrating Rimzee’s versatility and position in the scene, calling on a string of A-List rappers and artists to join him on this musical journey.

Talent and creativity in music has enabled Rimzee to turn his life around – from deprivation to becoming a reformed entrepreneur, Rimzee now proudly owns a string of successful businesses including a car rental business, a record label and recording studio, all alongside a growing property portfolio. Last year saw Rimzee launch an initiative that put successful entrepreneurs in workshops and discussions with young people from disadvantaged and under-served communities, showing a clear motivation to use his growing fame, influence and business experience to help the next generation of young people escape the vicious cycle of crime.

In the run up to his Feed The Streets mixtape, Rimzee has continued to give back to communities, feeding over 700 people across London, giving away 70 jackets in his hometown of Hackney, and funding the construction of a water well in Gambia, with plenty more initiatives in the works over the coming months.

Musically, the Hackney native continues to set the standard for UK rap and forge one of the most exciting paths in the game right now. With the release of these recent singles setting the tone for his forthcoming mixtape, the next twelve months look to be an even bigger year than ever before, for an artist grounded in credibility and natural talent.
