Following a string of polished club-ready records, UK house duo Punctual have unveiled their awaited EP, ‘Maze’ on Monstercat. Rounding out the package with the new title single today, “Maze” sees the pair lean further into their moody melodic house stylings with percussive grooves and expertly-crafted pop hooks. After cutting their teeth as studio stalwarts and sought-after collaborators with the impressive likes of Jason Derulo, RAYE, Sonny Fodera, and more, Punctual are back in the spotlight making personal records primed for a live audience. ‘Maze’ is a mature taste of the duo’s profound dedication to their craft and a strong indication of where they’re headed next.
Punctual share, “‘Maze’ was one of the first tracks we made after the initial lockdown. We had just moved into our new studio and the freedom of being out of our homes and the space itself made us feel really creative. When you take a step away or are in a new environment you get this fresh, new perspective on everything and we really felt that then! The EP was a product of all of this and it was really exciting to be able to get together again with our amazing collaborators.”
Lauded by industry legends like Pete Tong, Zane Lowe, and Elton John, Punctual have cemented their talents as radio darlings and have their sights set on leveling up as global performers. Demonstrating their synergy on iconic UK stages from Glastonbury to fabric, the guys will return to the fold this summer with a slew of shows to be announced soon.
