On Our Radar 2022 Part 1

With 2021 drawing to a conclusion, we took time to reflect on an incredible year musically. We are in the privileged position of spending the vast majority of the past year listening to untapped, rawly talented artists. Spanning a plethora of musical genres and the levels, let us tell you? Are seriously high!

With the level being so high, it led us to contemplate? Which artists do we expect to have a ridiculous 2022? From new music to collabs, headlining to further exposure, here are the acts & artists due to have a spectacular 2022.

Jordy

The Rapper released his EP, ‘SMH’, earlier midway through the year much to the delight of the Rappers’ followers. Jordy did his first headline show in 2021 and as someone who attended; We can honestly say it was one of the best shows I had been to in a while.

Kara Marni

The singer came to my attention in 2021 with her single, ‘Trippin’. She followed this up with her EP, ‘State of Mine’ which showed her great vocal abilities. A live show has to be the way forward for Kara Marni in 2022.

Keeya Keys

Our introduction to Keeya was ‘4-4-2’ and from then to ‘Haaland’, every track Keeya drops has been a hit. His flow is sick and his tracks are hella infectious, Keeya has to do a headline show in 2022.

Jords

Found out about Jords thanks to his release, ‘Glide’, since then I’ve been checking in to see what he drops. He hasn’t disappointed and has landed with hits like, ‘Old School Flex’ and ‘Enemies’.

Jaden Thompson

Everytime time Jaden’s name was on my timeline, he was either previewing a banger or releasing said banger. Tracks like, ‘Move Your Body’, ‘Closer’ and ‘Only One’ are dance floor fillers that will bring the crowd together.

Soulecta

Fairly new to Soulecta, but like what I’ve heard so far. He dropped a project in 2021 titled, ‘Soulecta and Friends’, it’s a Dance / UKG project with some familiar names on it. I feel like these tracks need to be heard outside.

Ell Murphy

Ell dropped a number of tracks and an EP in 2021. She draws from that UKG era that gets people two stepping and singing along. Another artist I am new to, but from what I have heard, I feel like she can have a big 2022

Nippa

This guy has to be next up! The timeline showed me about this talented young man and I’m so glad it did. A smooth sounding R&B artists, all of the Nippa’s tracks I have heard bang. A project or an intimate show should be happening in 2022.

Come back later for part 2

Have you checked out these list of bangers?
