Moon Willis – On Me

An absolute Banger

Following his recent release “Gone” ft. Levi on Rinse, London producer Moon Willis bursts back onto the scene with a second huge heater “On Me”, his first release coming out on Positiva – one of the country’s most important dance labels celebrating their 25th anniversary.

Having spent the last 6 years grafting behind the scenes with artists such as Rudimental and Anne Marie, 2018 sees the second solo release from the young but impressively-affiliated producer. Co-signs from the likes of The Magician and Todd Edwards as well as Ishi, Disciples and Duke Dumont, Moon is cementing foundations as a serious new underground talent.

With a fiendish ear for a hook and a natural talent for crafting bubblers, Moon has already picked up heat from serious early adopters incl. TRENCH MAGAZINE and DUMMY. Similar early attention from UK radio has boosted his reputation further, with BBCR1 and 1Xtra both supporting and his remix of Duke Dumont’s “Inhale” getting played by Danny Howard.

With a low-ebb bassline teasing a coy vocal from Jenay Faith that builds to a trademark inescapable bounce, “On Me” balances ambitious hooks with the kind of warehouse pedigree that should continue the intrigue that the Londoner has been creating for himself.

With a perfect amalgam of character and style, this new release should see the heat continue around the young artist, and rightly so. Moon comes through as truly one of the UK’s new dance hopes.
