The line up on each of these nights made it difficult to choose which event to attend.

When it comes to promoting events, the line-up is the most important factor. People pay attention to who is performing and the right name can prise anyone out of their dressing gown and into the club.

Every so often there are specific events advertised that possess such a strong line-up, we have to make an appearance.

This is mainly because of the acts on display, we want to check them out first hand and tell you guys if you should be paying attention to them or not.

This event we were in attendance for had so many acts we have on our radar, it was a no brainer to roll down and experience them do their thing live.

And it’s safe to say this event was so good, we may take a trip down there again this Friday for the last show.

Mike Skinner, The Residency occurred every Friday in March, with the last one happening this Friday.

Occurring at XOYO, Mike Skinner selected a distinct list of DJs and Hosts to come down every Friday and bring the house down. The list of acts included names like Star. One, Bassboy, Manga Saint Hilare, Plastician and of course, Mike Skinner himself.

Every Friday these acts would come and deliver a great performance to a packed crowd. The hosts would get reloads while the DJs would spin the latest bangers, as well as the classics.

With the line-up being so strong on each night, choosing one to attend became a difficult mission. But the team agreed to go to last Friday’s event and it’s safe to say, we were not disappointed and left satisfied from the nights activities.

The acts on display for this night included Star. One, BassBoy, Champion as well as other DJs we were introduced to for the first time.

Seeing DJs for the first time and witnessing what they do to a crowd is a great experience. We had this pleasure all night with some really talented DJs

The night consisted of DJs packing out the both The Basement and The Greenroom, energising the crowd with new gems as well as old but gold joints.

The crowd were the biggest plus of the night as everyone was there to enjoy themselves. There was no trouble, with the dance floor fully being occupied all night long.

Special shout out to Star. One, we got to witness him live in the flesh and he was great. We have been championing him for a while, his tracks possess serious longevity to them and he is someone we feel people need to pay attention to.

Of course the main guy did what he does best, Mike Skinner played to a packed out room to the point getting in that room became difficult.

Nevertheless we could hear all the tracks he was playing, the atmosphere was amazing and with us needing another opportunity to see Mike, we really do think we will be in attendance this Friday!

This was a great event consisting of names we wanted to see first-hand and names we were introduced to who we will be taking a closer look at this year.
