Layback Thought establishes his return from his hiatus with his new single Merlot. This will be the debut single taken from the highly anticipated upcoming project, Creatively Human. Having sat down with The South London Producer, he told us that his inspiration for his song resided from the following. “dealing with a bad break up, consistent health problems and battling creative mental blocks”. All of these ingredients were the key elements to creating the song, as well as … “having 3 bottles of Merlot wine to myself…”

Layback Thought has decided to re-emerge in 2019 with a very meditative vibe. With catchphrase adlibs and a smooth progressive Piano emphasised beat, it’s surely a record for the headphones crew. Also known under the pseudonym Marvelouss G (M.G.), Layback Thought fans have been anticipating an experience of vivid imagery, honesty and eloquent lyricism from the first to the last bar for a while.

We haven’t heard much from Layback Thought as Odyssey EP was the last project he released in 2016, so we can only hope he‘s back for good now. Merlot is here and receiving applauds across the map, so plug in those earphones and zone out to the soulful vibes of Merlot.
