Kadeem Tyrell releases new album

South London singer/songwriter Kadeem Tyrell releases his highly anticipated new project, ‘As Time Goes By’ following the release of the lead single, ‘Let Me Know’ featuring Shae Universe and Geovarn.

Produced by long term collaborator Baker Aaron, the song demonstrates Kadeem’s ability to blend genres with the ease of an international star and with the scene at an all time high, ‘Let Me Know’ showcases three of the UK’s finest R&B talents and has the ability to fill any club dancefloor.

As Time Goes By’ is a project that is bursting with heart, love, ambition, and individuality. Spanning over 10-tracks, it was written and recorded collaboratively during the lockdowns with an incredible range of musicians including the legendary Omar, Morgan Munroe, and XVR BLK with producer credits from the likes of; Cay Caleb, Baker Aaron, R-Kay and JD Reid. Hundreds of zooms, WhatsApps and voice notes later, the project was born and is his proudest work to date. During a  time of darkness and isolation, this creative process generated a shared joy amongst Kadeem and the artists involved and the time alone pushed him, even more, to make things happen.

Honing his craft over the past 5 years, Kadeem rejects the pressure to conform and isn’t afraid to meld R&B, Neo-Soul, Garage, House, Pop, and more to express what is within. Battersea born and bred, his surroundings were (and still remain) hugely influential to him, growing up in the same area

as the iconic So Solid Crew, the game-changing collective paved the way for him to follow his  dreams. Further afield, he was inspired by some iconic names such as Donnell Jones, Brandy, A  Tribe Called Quest, and D’Angelo as well as his South London piers including Ego Ella May. Still early in his career, he holds on to one specific achievement closely which involved collaborating with Foot Patrol – a company he used to work for – and Puma. The surreal moment of going from working  under, to partnering with them, was a full-circle moment and one he cherishes. Throughout his journey so far, Kadeem has never been one to rely on labels with his hustler mindset willing to take on jobs to cover costs and in turn, allowing him to own everything he creates. By day  he is working as a Royal Mail Postman, by night, he’s performing around the capital and is quickly becoming one of the most exciting voices within the UK landscape and beyond. With co-signs from the likes of DJ Ace, Rebecca Judd, Wonderland, Complex, Trench, and Notion, Kadeem is on the rise and with a headline show in August, there is a lot to be excited about. Having previously performed at the legendary Jazz Cafe, The Great Escape, 696 Festival, Lafayette, and more, his performance portfolio is ever-growing and one not to miss. Kadeem is known to excel on stage and now with a fresh body of work he’s eager to share it live with the world.
