East London’s rising star JADA unveils her highly anticipated debut EP, ‘Inside Out’—a 5-track collection that unveils a deeply personal journey through love, femininity, and self-discovery.
Having made a name for herself through collaborations with Grammy award winner Venna on, ‘Tam Tam’ and ‘Junes Cry’, JADA’s ‘Inside Out’ takes listeners deeper, offering an intimate, introspective look as she lays her emotions bare, exploring what it means to turn herself ‘Inside Out.’ Leading the EP is ‘Better With You’, a sultry, cinematic visual directed by Ray Fiasco.
The video captures JADA in an intimate bedroom setting as she confesses her feelings, before taking viewers on a journey across London with friends, culminating in a lively celebration at a bar. Co-written with her close friend and collaborator JVCK James, the track is an ode to the thrill of finding the person who “ticks all the boxes.” ‘Better With You’ highlights JADA’s futuristic vocal style, blending tenderness and harmony to create an enchanting sound.
Produced by Elevated, whose credits include Jorja Smith, Fredo, and Central Cee, the project also features a powerhouse production lineup: Perry, Blakey, Antiwave, Joel AB, and Grammy Award-winner Venna, each contributing to JADA’s signature blend of R&B, hip-hop, and jazz. Following the success of ‘Magic’, and ‘KO’ which garnered support from tastemakers like Victoria Jane, DJ Ace, COLORS, Wonderland and Notion, JADA returns with ‘Inside Out, a boundary-pushing “New Wave R&B” project, where fearless musical experimentation meets emotion. Speaking on the journey, JADA said:
“So much I could say but I’m just grateful for the journey & all those who have been apart of it.
Thank you to everyone who has made this possible, this is real therapy for me.
“True beauty is from the inside out”
JADA grew up in a musical household where Gospel music was ever-present, thanks to her mother and uncle, who frequently sang. Her passion for performance began early—she started ballet at just five years old and soon found herself singing at school assemblies. This early exposure to music naturally led her to songwriting and eventually to study at Elam Music College.
There, she crossed paths with now Grammy-winning Venna and JVCK James, kindred spirits who shared her dedication to music and have since remained close and influential friends. Drawing inspiration from icons like Jill Scott and Angie Stone and contemporary stars like Kehlani and SZA, JADA infuses her music with a vibrant yet gritty London edge. Her breakthrough came with ‘June’s Cry,’ a collaboration with JVCK James, Emil, and Venna on his 2021 EP ‘Venology.’ This partnership deepened with their work on ‘Tam Tam,’ a standout track on Venna’s sophomore EP ‘Equinox,’ released in 2023.
Their artistic synergy led JADA to join Venna on his ‘Est.99’ European tour, performing in Amsterdam, Paris, and Islington Assembly Hall in London. Early on in her career, she has so much to celebrate already, including her performance at SXSW this year in Austin, where she proudly represented the UK on DJ Ace’s ‘EverythingRNB’ showcase, sharing the stage with talents like Tamera, Ayanna, and Etta Bond. Rooted in the dynamic pulse of East London’s music scene, JADA is swiftly rising as a trailblazing artist in R&B, setting herself apart with a unique sound that commands attention. Known for her perfectionism, she’s hands-on with every creative process step, ensuring each track feels deeply authentic.
For JADA, music is a joyful, pressure-free experience—a chance to collaborate with friends, release her emotions, and stay true to herself. Although she’s naturally introverted, JADA has found music to be her most powerful outlet, helping her share her emotions openly and embrace her vulnerability. Her debut release, ‘Inside Out’, captures the unapologetic journey of self-belief, even in its uncomfortable moments, and celebrates the courage to step into her own as a solo artist. Standing out as part of a new generation of R&B innovators, JADA is forging her path, destined to become a name on the lips of tastemakers. With ‘Inside Out’, she arrives at a pivotal career moment, diving into her artistry with undeniable passion—a true statement of her place in the spotlight.
