Is Now The Time For House/EDM Music To Have It's Own Award Ceremony?

Does The Grammy’s Do Enough To Support All Genre’s

With the GRAMMY’S just finished and all the buzz over, we ask does this event do enough to support all genres of music? And should it? With the vast number of awards based around RnB & Hip Hop is it time for the other big global genre to start taking centre stage.

Globally last year House/EDM music sales were higher than ever before and with the top two most shazamed songs of 2017 being House/EDM, the likelihood of this trend is only going to continue, is it not time to show support for the biggest and brightest. Surely now is the time for House Music to stand up on its own two feet and create its own awards.

Each year the number of festivals grows with the vast majority being electronic music we don’t see this for other music genres?

DJs are now as big as artists, if not bigger in some respects, so let’s take the plunge and create our own way of appreciating those who deserve it.

Everyone loves an award ceremony right? So, it must be time for House/EDM Music to have it’s own?
