Is EDM and House Music one and the same?

With music diversifying more and more each year and sub genres and subcultures becoming more important than ever. It can be hard to keep up with the latest music trends or even being able to categorise music very easily.

One question we’ve been asked often from those who don’t know our music, is EDM and House Music not the same thing?

On the inside, it’s easy to answer, No, but if as a music group you ever want to get recognition from a wider audience being able to clearly define what makes one genre different from another is fundamental to the explanation and how to attract new fans or increase followers in a sense.

So we ask, should there be clearer definitions of what’s EDM or House or even Deep House or Tech House. Or should it be something you just work out and part of the journey?
