Establishing his potent artistry between the diverse spaces of London and Brighton, the Dominican and Jamaican heritage artist has always been surrounded by powerful influences across music, fashion and culture. Most notably, early reflections on UK rap and grime allowed him to cultivate a rare lyrical focus under his previous alias. Harnessing grassroots support and critical acclaim from the likes of WONDERLAND, CLASH, NOTION and TRENCH, a natural development occurred within ILIKERiCO’s musical direction, as the crowded space of rap had suppressed his true passion and hunger for dance music. The rising talent would later swap rap sessions for raves, rediscovering a more authentic, true-to-self approach that enabled freedom to tell stories through sound.

A prolific producer and songwriter deeply rooted in the power of music as a universal language, ILIKERiCO has cut his teeth alongside esteemed names including Idris Elba, Charlotte Plank and Billen Ted, who recruited ILIKERiCO for his first official feature across “Pepper” last year.
