Hideout Festival Recap : Key Moments From Jamie Jones, MK, Bicep, Rudimental, Gorgon City and Hannah Wants

Last week, much loved Croatian music festival Hideout united ravers on the sun-soaked Zrce beach with slick production and music to match. Hosted across 7 clubs on the beach and soundtracked by the best in house, techno, disco, dnb, garage and beyond for 5 days on the Adriatic coastline. Hideout 2019 was one to remember.

The opening beach party kicked things off to a flying start, with grammy nominated Fisher, Radio 1’s Danny Howard, Melé, Dom Dolla and Franky Wah who set the bar exceptionally high and provided the ultimate feel-good vibes for the first day in the scorching heat. Later on that night, there were some outstanding performances from Hideout residents, including Nicola Bear, Devstar, Northbase as well as DnB legend Alexis.

On Tuesday My Nu Leng took their pals on a voyage out to sea, with Turno really rocking the boat. Jax Jones boarded next, inviting Mistajam and Dom Dolla along with him to the sold out party. Elsewhere, Jamie Jones hosted a Paradise pool party at Papaya, enlisting label affiliates Mark Jenkyns, Richy Ahmed, Andrea Oliva, Detlef and Latmun with special b2b sets. Along the beach, Eats Everything and Charlotte de Witte made a real splash at the Noa pool party with an exclusive b2b set in the idyllic setting. As day turned to night, Mistajam played to a packed out crowd over at Papaya, followed by stand-out performances from Rudimental, MK and an extra special sunrise set from Paul Woolford.

The next day Crucast took to the sea showcasing the labels DnB sound bringing along label family Darkzy, Skepsis, TS7, Kanine and more. Elsewhere, the sunset on the Adriatic was soundtracked by Solardo and Mason Maynard on their Higher boat party, which got the crowd raring to go for the main programme that night. Maribou State, George Fitzgerald and Flava D were highlights of the evening.

On Thursday, the Camelphat boat party set the tone for the days programming; bringing along Ben Sterling to support. Back at Papaya, Hannah Wants played a high energy garage set, jam packed full of old school classics, followed by Sam Divine who continued to play ultimate anthems – bringing Luther Vandross into the mix, receiving a full sing along from the crowd. Undoubtedly, the highlight of the nights programme was feel-good enthusiasts Horse Meat Disco followed by Artwork – who brought his Art’s House vibes to Noa. The night closed with Bicep taking the crowd on a journey with an emotive sunrise DJ set..

Elsewhere on Friday, Mall Grab and Krystal Klear set sail first, dropping tracks like “Show Me Love” on their boat party. Solid Grooves took the last voyage, inviting Darius Syrossian, Dennis Cruz and Michael Bibi for a real stand-out party. The final nights programme was incredible with stand-out sets from Northern Ireland’s Brame & Hamo, Alan Fitzpatrick, DJ Hype & MC AD and Gorgon City.
