Let us in on who Winny is?

Winny is an afro raggae artist who blends mellow vibes with deep, introspective lyrics. Drawing inspiration from personal experiences and the world around me, I aim to create music that resonates on an emotional level while staying true to my unique sound. I’m all about connecting with my audience.

Describe your sound using 5 words.

Emotional, Soulful, Smooth, Melodious and Eclectic.

We had the opportunity to listen to your latest release, ‘Lego’. What was the inspiration behind this chilled-out jam?

Lego’ was inspired by love and wanting

It reflects both the complexities and simplicity of relationships how we often try to create something meaningful, but at the same time, we have to let go of control and allow things to come together naturally. It’s a song about patience, growth, and the beauty of letting things fall into place.

Who would be your dream artists to collaborate with?

I’d love to collaborate with artists like Burnaboy, Post Malone, Rema, Chronixx, Kranium, Popcaan, Wizkid, Damian Marley, Dontoliver, Davido, Amarae, it’s an endless list …

I think we could create something really special together that blends different genres and pushes creative boundaries.

What is your favourite Winny track and why?

My favourite track is probably ‘Lego’ because it perfectly captures the space I was in when writing it. It feels like a reflection of my growth, both personally and musically. I love the way it flows, and it resonates with me every time I listen to it, almost like a reminder of where I’ve been and where I’m going.

You are given an unlimited budget to film your next music video. What’s the location and why?

If I had an unlimited budget, I’d love to shoot in Brazil, Brazil  has this vibrant backdrop for a music video with its natural beauty , From the rainforest to the beaches  and the colourful streets Brazil’s lively atmosphere is perfect for creating a high energy video full of rhythm and life.

What three tracks can you not live without?

Kranium – Vibes Weekend

Chrisbrown – With You

Sister Nancy – Bam Bam

What’s next in the pipeline for Winny?

I’m working on new music that pushes my sound even further. Expect more collaborations, I’m also planning on some live shows and tour in the near future to connect with my fans in a more personal way. Stay tuned there’s a lot more coming!
