With new music recently released we got the chance to speak with Valle. We find out what inspired his latest track and to expect with his upcoming project, ‘Care For Me’ .
Give us 5 words that describe your sound
My sound is Melodic Rap that is soaked in soul & R&B influence.
We’ve heard your latest release, ‘Star’ and we are really feeling it! What was your inspiration for this tune?
Star is a song I wrote out of an argument with my lady, it came directly after an argument we had just had one night. I was frustrated and couldn’t sleep, so I started writing to vent, but by the second verse, I realised something, and I reminded myself that when I had nothing, she still rode me, and she was still about it, so when times get tough and disagreements occur, as they always will, I need to remind myself of all the times she has had my back, just as I did when I was writing this song.
Who produced ‘Star’ (if not you) and how did you choose this beat for the song?
Struan Finlay, my beat selection is almost like the beat does the picking and then the pen just follows, if nothing strong hits immediately i move on quickly and write to something else.
What is your favourite Valle track?
Of my own? thats released would be Love Me.
Where would be your ideal place to perform your music?
Tyler the creators festival, Coachella or Port Moresby (where I was born).
Who would Valle most like to have a joint track with?
I honestly think that RUSS & I would murder a song together .. just saying haha
What can listeners expect on your next project, ‘Care For Me’?
