Exclusive Interview with Rose

With his latest release, ‘I Don’t Mind’, receiving so much love, we got the opportunity to speak with Rose. From how the track came about to who he wants to work with in the future, check out what Rose had to say

Let our readers know who Rose is? 

I’m just your average person trying to make a career out of something that I love doing!

What three words best describe your sound? 

Different, Fun, Real.

We’re feeling your latest release, ‘I Don’t Mind’, and appreciate the balance of Garage and Rap. What was the inspiration behind this track?  

I was going through a situation with my girl and the song is a reflection of that. We were both in a weird space and the chorus is me expressing how I felt towards her. Sometimes you just have to let things and people go and see what comes from that.  

We’ve listened to your back catalogue, and it’s seriously strong. ‘Jiggle Wiggle’ in particular, bangs! Tell us how this track came about? 

Honestly that track came out of nowhere. The producer reached out and asked me to vocal that beat. I effed with it so much that I finished the track in about 12minutes!

Who would be your dream artist to work with? 

Fredo – he is an artist I admire and can hear us cooking up a storm on a good beat. 

We feel you spend a lot of time on your craft and so we ask, what do you like to do in spare time? 

You wouldn’t believe me if I told you but I just love relaxing when I have the time. My life is always going at 100miles per hour so anytime I get to relax is time I grab with both hands. 

With festivals being announced, do you have any desire to perform at one and if so, which one? 

Of course man! Last summer my manager took me around wireless and we were backstage mingling with the artists and their teams and I really felt in my element. I made a promise to myself then that the next time I’m at wireless, it will be performing!

What’s next for Rose? 

I have this jumpy track that I’m releasing with an artist called KVYLPTO. It’s my first collab release but I think you will eff with it heavy.
