What new skill did you learn during lockdown?
During lockdown I obtained the skill of working out lol, in the beginning of lockdown I master the skill of eating so it was a natural evolution I think lol.
We got the opportunity to check out your latest single, ‘Money Dance’. Where did you draw inspiration for this track?
The inspiration for the track came firstly from my love of collaborative style records/track, seeing tracks that merge dope artists together to make an even doper sound is just so sick to me.
During lock down I binged watched the series Money Heist and that was my vision for this record, taking it even further, you can see the visual we created for it with Eric & Adi Myers (Media Worx) is also modelled on the concept, check it out.
What was the thought process behind the selection of artist who featured on ‘Money Dance’?
Money Dance was born out of a session with the artist Roxxxan, we had the idea of bringing in Moelogo who’s writing/vocals never miss and Lavida Loca was the icing on the cake.
The idea for Money Dance was to take artists from different musical genres and merge them together.
Who would be you dream artist to collaborate with?
As of right now whilst doing this interview, I would say my dream collaborators would be Dave, Tems and Kanye West they are all just brilliant (sorry I can’t just choose one).
What’s your favourite YouTube channel and why?
I am more of a scanner of YouTube, meaning I treat it like a TV channel, so I do a lot of surfing when it comes to channels (watching various things) but you can’t go wrong with a GRM or a Link Up TV I’d say.
Check out the Mrmyish Youtube, it’s got new bits but loads of older content that some won’t be aware are actually under the Mrmyish umbrella.
What 5 tracks did you discover during lockdown?
AP – Footstep ft Double S, Dun D & C Cane
What’s the next step for you?
The next step for MrMyish is to release more collaborative style content under the MrMyish brand and to begin rolling out the artist project from the acts I manage, look out for new projects coming from Julian Marley, Incisive, Footsteps, Bayoz Muzik, Sean Blaze and Piano P.
