LENny (IT) finds himself on Sony Italy offshoot, Reload Records, with his slick, melodic, deep house cut, ‘Running’. We speak to the LENny (IT) regarding the origin of his latest release, his boat parties (Wave Music Boat) and other cool stuff.
Who is LENny (IT)?
Lenny is an American-Italian dreamer. Felt in love with club music since he was 12 and started to be a Dj at 14. Play his first vinyl in 2006, in front of 1700 guests at the main club in Italy. Start producing music and also events. Moved to the USA in 2012 and lived there for 9y.
Now I am a studio guy that believes music is made by dreams and sensation.
Could you please share the story behind your unique name, LENny (IT)?
Lenny is my second name, the first is Lorenzo. In the text, LEN – ny – (IT) there are all what I am. LEN is there for my name, so is who I am. ny is there for New York, where i lived and I will live the rest of my life. And the (IT) is what I am, an Italian guy, but just at the end of everything. Because IT is not all that I am, it is more than what is on an ID CARD you can find, but I am much more than that.
In just five words, how would you describe your signature sound?
Melody Atmos, Groovy and Passionate.
We’re eagerly anticipating your upcoming release, ‘Running,’ which has been described as having a smooth melodic, deep house feel. Can you tell us more about the creative process and inspiration behind this song?
The process was that I fell in love again, and that arrived after a lot of time. Calvin Harris Dj set was amazing and the love for my new GF and that track that I heard from Calvin made together 18/22 hours of studio sessions where I was looking to find that sounds…
We noticed that you recently introduced the travelling party, Wave Music Boat. Among the talented DJs who have played on the boat, do you have a personal favourite? If so, what made their set stand out for you?
I played with a lot of guests and for me the most special one was Anna Schneider. She is talented and is the only person that can create that kind of magic on the dance floor. Was rainy and believe me making people dance in the ocean with rain is not easy… a super stand for her!

Vocals and Space of the synth in the breaks made these 3 tracks really special for me.
What’s next for LENny (IT)?
Two more releases and after that in 2024 I have ready an album. Let’s hope to finalize the greatest collaboration to make it a special album for 2024.
