With her recent single, ‘Dedicated’, dropping and garnering so much love; we got to speak with Klaudia Keziah. From her inspirations to her favourite Youtube channel, we got it all.
For those who may not know, who is Klaudia Keziah?
I’m a singer, songwriter, producer and studio hermit lol born in Lithuania raised and living in the UK.
Describe your sound in 5 words
My music is my outlet for my millions of emotions, ha, but to describe it in 5 I’d say sweet, truthful, sexy, empowering and emotional.
Your recent release ‘Dedicated’ our team is seriously feeling and is a real R&B gem. What was the inspiration behind the track?
Ah thank you!! Means a lot! ‘Dedicated’ to me is about knowing your worth and position in a relationship and giving your partner the ultimatum that if they can’t decide where they stand or how invested they are in the relationship, then you won’t let them waste your time!
Listening to your tracks, the ‘Little Bit’ quarantine video and remix jumped out to us. What made you drop the original and then do a remix? You need to re-release the remix this summer, it bangs.
Thank you so much! I think during the first quarantine, I found it hard to adjust to no shows and being limited to what we could do with music videos, so I made sure I kept busy working on loads of music. “Little Bit” was one of those songs and we decided to just shoot the same way the song was made, in quarantine. The remix came about just as summer was coming up and we loved the idea of having a male perspective and we wanted the remix to be a completely different feel, We wanted it to feel like summer despite how crazy the world was, we already had a relationship with the L2R boys so the remix was a really organic process.
What 5 tracks have you been playing nonstop during lockdown?
I love this, I’m the type of person who gets obsessed with 1-2 songs for a solid month!
Kali Uchis x PartyNextDoor – Fue Mejor
Midas the Jagaban – Party with a Jagaban
Pink Sweat$ x Kehlani – At My Worst
If you could perform at any venue, where would it be? And why?
The Royal Albert Hall is an insane venue, I remember seeing Foals play there a few years back, and the acoustics and how pretty the building is really made the experience something else!
Who would be your dream artist/producer to work with?
Hard question, there’s so many!
I would love to get in the studio with PARTYNEXTDOOR his writing and approach to music really inspires me.
There’s so many amazing producers I admire, I’d love to get in with Oak, his work with Kehlani is amazing!
What’s your favourite Youtube channel and why?
I’m not very cool when it comes to what I watch on YouTube haha! I’m usually either watching producing & mixing channels like ‘Pensados Place’ or cute husky videos! It’s all about balance.
What’s next for you this year
With stuff re-opening, I’m really looking forward to getting back out and performing. Along with the new music I’ve been working on, I’ve got a whole new live performance to go with it. I’m really looking forward to finally letting people hear what I’ve been working on!
