With his latest release coming in the form of a smooth remix, we got to speak with Producer and DJ, HVMZA. Find out what drove him to make this remix, as well as some of the tracks he discovered during lockdown.
For those unaware, let us know who HVMZA is?
HVMZA is an Afro/Latin, Deep and Tech house producer/dj that used to be a hiphop head, hailing from Belgium.

Raw, Organic, Tribal, Melodic, Positive
Checking out your catalogue and we recently heard your latest release, ‘Lloro Yo’. What was the thought process behind this Deep House / Afro House track?
When I heard the original track I was just immediately in love with the vocals, her voice sounded so real, so raw, so genuine, even though I didn’t really understand Spanish I believed what she was saying. You know it’s just a feeling, I felt like I had to do a track with her vocals and that’s what I did.
We got the opportunity to hear your upcoming remix track, ‘Bosana’. What influenced you to remix this track?
El Mukuka, a dj/producer from Zambia and a good friend of mine, asked me if he could make his own version of “Na Bosana” because he liked the track so much. I didn’t hesitate and gave him my blessings, because we worked together before on “Dame” and I liked his work ethic, professionalism and just him as a person.
What 5 tracks have you discovered during Lockdown?
Os Tincoas – Deixa A Gira Girar
Dennis Cruz, Josh Butler – Ahora Todo Va
A-Trak, Ferreck Dawn – My Own Way
Going back to your catalogue, your live set with S2STORE sounds great, The Afro House tracks you played were top tier. Do you have any plans to tour once all clubs/festivals are open?
Thank you so much! Yes I would love to, can’t wait till this bs is over and we can all return to the dance floors. And tbh I don’t have a booking agent yet because I wanted to focus on releasing music first. But I think it’s time to find one now, so any dope booking agents reading this, holla! 😂
Who would be your dream artist/Producer to collaborate with?
I would love to collaborate with Pablo Fierro or Dennis Cruz or both on one track, wow that would be crazy! I love their work and play them a lot in my sets!
What’s next for you this year?
Keep releasing music as much as I can and hopefully start getting bookings to play on some nice beach clubs or festivals.
Thanks for having me We Are Beyond Noise, much love, peace and harmony!
