After bringing ‘Foolish Touch’ to his fans, we got the opportunity to speak with Bauchamp. Bauchamp lets us in on the history of the release, discussing the tracks identity and how important meeting with Pilar was.

For our readers, who is Bauchamp?

Well, I live by the largest lake in Europe. The atmosphere of springs and summers is there beautiful. I like to make music that reflects the specific light we have at the end of a lazy afternoon, when you know you gonna party. Feeling that positive vibe rising through the music. Capturing the last rays of sunlight to warm up the night.

Using three words, describe your sound.

For the rudies and the dandies.

We had the opportunity to hear your upcoming track, Foolish Touch. An upbeat track perfect for the upcoming summer events, how did the collaboration with Pilar Vega come about?

I was performing as dancer on the tour of an Italo disco band and Pilar was the special guest singer on some dates. I loved the freshness and quality of here voice. She came in the studio with some gold lines written on her cellphone and we recorded this track.

Checking out your catalogue, we came across your release with Round Table Knights, Calypso. What was the thought process behind the creation of this track?

There’s many versions of this track. The first was released on the Friends of Friends Label, a split EP with Larytta. Then we did a vocal version with Jamaican singer Tsunami and the Soldia Sound Crew and at least we did the version with Round Table Knights, published on the Jesse Rose label Made to Play.

What is your favourite Bauchamp song?

I would say Global Cities.

What would be your ideal festival to perform at?

A festival in Barcelona! Why not Brunch-In the park.

What’s next for Bauchamp?

There are many vineyards around the place I live and I’m in contact with a wine maker too make a special collab!
