Exclusive Interview With AlorG

AlorG has made his mark on the music scene with the release of his debut EP, ‘Down I’m A Rebel’. With the highly anticipated project now out, we got the opportunity to speak to the rising creative.

Let our readers in on who AlorG is. What three words best describes your music?

AlorG is a afrobeats artist from Ghana born and raised in Taifa Burkina Accra. The three words that I would say best describes my music is passion pain and reality.

What drove you to choose the path of a musician?

I grew up loving music, joined the choir at the age of 9 as a lead singer. And also got inspired by a lot of Afro sounds both old and new generation. Always knew music was a part of me I call it Destiny.

Your debut EP, ‘Down I’m A Rebel’, has a sweet sound to it. What is the meaning behind the EP title?

The fact that one of the biggest battles in life is between the mind and the heart on this road called life, deep down in everyone is a rebel that fights against anything that opposes them.

What’s your favourite track off the EP and why?

Lonely and Paranoid I would say because it means a lot to me. I sang word for word at once during the writing process.

What act would you love to collaborate with?

I’m a big fan of Black Sherif, Omah Lay, Asake ,Don Toliver and Rema’s music and I would love to collaborate with them when I get the chance.

What three songs can you not live without?

For Di Road by AlorG , Substance by 03 greedo and natural mystic by Bob Marley

What do you have in store for 2025?

A new project , a headlined show by me, more collaborations, merch and I’m also optimistic about what the new year holds..Could even be better hopefully
