Duckwrth – Had Enough

South Central, LA cult icon Duckwrth returns to the ether with his highly anticipated single “Had Enough,” a raw and introspective exploration of the darker sides of indulgence and escapism.

Over a unique blend of glittery funk and alt-rock production, Duckwrth confronts the treacherous allure of alcohol and drugs, delving into the chaos and toxicity that often accompany. The track captures that critical moment where one stands at a crossroads: to continue down a destructive path or to seek a positive way out.

With over 500M+ streams to his name, and almost 2M monthly listeners on Spotify alone, Duckwrth has built a loyal global following that spans music, fashion, film, and tv. Recently featuring in campaigns for both Adidas and Loewe, his latest collaboration with the German jewelry brand Vitaly (which debuted August 16th) further cements his status as a multifaceted creative force and influencer on an international level, serving as muse for the likes of British design star Bianca Saunders.

“Had Enough”s visuals see Duckwrth personify alcohol as an enticing “brown-eyed demon from the west side.”, his character symbolising the seductive, and destructive nature of alcohol, serving as a metaphor for Duckwrth’s own struggles with his vices and its impact on his personal relationships. Speaking on the pain he’s caused himself and others and highlighting the impact of substance abuse on relationships, he states. “Seeing the pain you inflict on someone else, how it affects them emotionally, the loss of trust — they can’t even be around you,” he says. “That hurt makes you really want to look inward and better understand yourself.”

Directed by longtime collaborator Alex ‘Grizz’ Loucas, the music video takes viewers on a visceral afterparty journey, with Duckwrth delivering a captivating performance as he dances through the intoxicating allure of temptation. His choreography powerfully mirrors the struggle with alcohol – each movement reflecting the push and pull of desire and restraint. Duckwrth’s decision to share his personal journey through “Had Enough” is bold, revealing a vulnerability that marks a stark contrast to his until-now all-consuming, powerful persona; indeed this landmark new release marks a departure into a more candid and confessional era, with Duckwrth emerging as both wild storyteller and vulnerable young man.

An international touring sensation, Duckwrth’s captivating performances and aesthetic have made him a beacon of individual expression. With critical support across the likes of THE GUARDIAN and NME with the likes of HYPEBEAST  and A BOOK OF across the Atlantic, Duck has sold out headline shows worldwide, performing at major festivals like Lollapalooza and Outside Lands, his undeniable influence seeing him support superstars such as Billie Eilish, Anderson .Paak, Flying Lotus, and N*E*R*D.
