Dance System unveils his highly anticipated debut album, In Your System. Released on his own label, System Records, In Your System is a love letter to house music, clubbing culture and an insight to his life spent in music – over 22 years of record collecting and DJIng.

Drawing on the rich electronic scenes in UK, Chicago, Detroit, Berlin, Paris and beyond, nodding to his teachers including Kevin Saunderson, Daft Punk and DJ Mehdi, the 11 track album promises full-force euphoria and starry eyed love for the club. Sonically, the album blends elements of classic, filter and piano house, hardcore, acid techno and all that’s in between. In his own wordsIn Your System’ is a product of all the dance music I have consumed over the last 22 years of being a DJ.”

The release of In Your System and previously unheard bassline heavy track, ‘Pump It Up’, comes following recent singles ‘Shutter Trak’ – an homage to clubbing institution Panorama Bar, and ‘Bring The Noise’ –  a cry for change in light of recent political turmoil, dropping with a heady and captivating laser-filled video. Supported by DJ Mag, KALTBLUT, Mixmag, Beatportal, BBC R1, BBC 6Music, Dummy, Ransom Note, Juno Daily and more, In Your System signifies the audio visual art to come from Dance System, and is the precursor to Dance System’s forthcoming world tour.

Speaking on the album, Dance System says,

“‘With In Your System, I really wanted it to make a record strictly for the clubs that shows the depth of what I play as a DJ. It follows on from the end of my collaborative mixtape ‘Where’s The Party At?’, where things were getting a bit darker and twisted. I experimented a lot with new sampling techniques using my Akai 2600 sampler and using filters as an instrument. I definitely let the dark side of Dance System come out a lot more than what people might know me for, as I feel it matches the crazy times we are living in. At the end of the day though, it’s all house music – it’s made to make your body move, have fun and provide a little respite from our current situation.”

Cementing his status over a decade ago as one half of seminal label Night Slugs as L-Vis 1990, releasing on ground-breaking labels including Night Slugs, Warp, Mad Decent, Monkeytown and many more, while counting top-tier tastemakers including Fact, DAZED, DJ Mag, Resident Advisor, Mixmag, Highsnobiety, FADER, amongst a wealth of global fans; the rebirth as Dance System and conception of System Records came in 2020, created to become a home for sound he felt didn’t fit anywhere else.

Launching the label with sensational multi-artist mixtape Where The Party At? featuring A-Trak, Hudson Mohawke, India Jordan, Sally C, Cromby, DJ Deeon to name but a few, Dance System garnered widespread support from the likes of FACT, Mixmag, DJ Mag, BBC R1, 6Music, Rinse FM, Annie Mac, Danny Howard, Jaguar, Tom Ravenscroft, Jamz Supernova, Pete Tong, The Blessed Madonna, and many more. While 2021 saw Dance System release a collab EP, Back To Business, with Mark Broom, ahead of All I Wanna Do in August 2021, In Your System is Dance System’s first full-length solo offering under the moniker. Now synonymous with hands-in-the-air belters, System Records previous releases come from Mark Broom, Junior Sanchez, Black Girl/White Girl, Yves Tomas feat. Ana Metronic, His Majesty Andre and most recently, Jordan Nocturne. Championing artists across the world, Dance System’s appetite to celebrate dance music culture and bring pure joy to club music is insatiable.

Throughout March 2022, Dance System took the reins of the lauded BBC Radio 1 Residency with a journey across the origins of the music that inspired him through to the now. Listen back here – https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/m0014pl8
