For many of us, the UK Funky era was one that will live in our hearts forever. Roska is partly responsible for this; he created an insane amount of Funky House music for club goers to skank out to.
Roska has stood the test of time; he took his craft serious and released countless tracks that us fans will never forget. The result in this has been Roska being respected by his peers and fans, and being seen as a pioneer of this music genre.
Roska is one of the few names where attendance to his event becomes a necessary requirement.
This recently occurred as Roska has been presenting his UK Funky event at Boxpark Shoreditch. An event we personally took the time to attend and we must say, it was a night of naughty dubplates, remixes and timeless classics.
So as you can imagine when Roska’s name is attached to new music, it is essential that we pick up on said music and check it out.
And that is exactly what has happened as Roska recently teamed up with R&B singer Cicero, producing a blissful track in, ‘What Do I Do’.
Giving off a gentle blend of UK Funky and Soulful House, Roska and Cicero have found the perfect mixture to create a chilled out summer gem, that will have you doing a two-step at a family function.
‘What Do I Do’ is also our introduction to Cicero and her music.
If like us you are new to her voice, we urge you to check out her catalogue. She dropped an EP last year by the name, ‘Ultraviolet’; this project is very good and showcases how lovely her voice is.
The single carrying the same name as the project was a stand out track for us.
We are patiently waiting to see what the next move for Cicero is.
‘What Do I Do’ acts as a gentle reminder to his current fans that Roska is capable of collaborating with artists to create great music.
This release also acts as a great introduction to Cicero and as a doorway to the rest of her musical inventory.
