Multi-faceted East London singer, rapper, songwriter and hit-maker B Young returns to the soundsphere with intoxicating new single “Attention” — the first offering to be taken from his highly-anticipated forthcoming album, ESC, set for release 3rd October 2024.

Continuing his unique blend of sonic innovation and thoughtful, original lyricism that has cemented the Hackney native as one of the most recognisable UK names over the past few years, B Young adds to his impressive legacy with a brand new full-length project. Coming as the first single, “Attention” effortlessly showcases the Londoner’s distinctive style outlining a narrative of nostalgia, personal experiences and love interests alike. A combination of catchy percussive elements, groove-ridden acoustic riffs and shimmering synth lines provide the perfect bed for B Young’s trademark lyrical deftness to glide across, continuing to underline his creative fluency and his stature as one of the most innovative musicians in the UK right now.

Arguably B Young’s second biggest release, “079ME”, also garnered international acclaim, spending 16 weeks in the Top 100 and peaking at #23 in the UK Charts, and #12 in the UK R&B charts. With over 400M+ all time audio streams and over 225M video views to date. It’s clear B Young is one of the most established UK singer-rappers to date.

A self-taught artist, the East London multi-hyphenate spent several years teaching himself how to produce, mix and master his own records, enabling him to experiment with various sounds to craft his melodic rap and afrobeat/ bashment crossover sound.

This winning formula, has led to B Young sticking to his DIY methods and continues to record, mix and edit his own videos in his bedroom studio.

The Hackney-native has also performed in over 400 shows during his career so far including festivals such as Wireless, Kultureland in Toronto, Afronation, Fresh Island, Asian Network live and the One Africa Show in Wembley Arena. He sold out his first UK tour in 2021 and will be headlining Tokyo World Festival later on this year. Letting the music speak first, B Young has quickly become known for his unforgettable hooks, melodies and for his ‘quality over quantity approach’, building an extremely dedicated fanbase in the process.

B Young’s potent, thoughtful, sound points to a gifted musicality and mindset beyond his years. Involved in every aspect of his music from production to mixing and mastering to directing videos himself, his aggressive DIY mentality and considered eye on both music and fashion looks set to continue the ever-growing attention around him as one of the UK’s hottest talents.
