Selected as Step Up Artist by Theo Johnson, Ami X’s ‘Traffic’ has received BBC1xtra plays weeks before its anticipated release.

Ami X introduced herself with a critically acclaimed debut single championed by the likes of Viper Magazine, We Are Beyond Noise, BBC and Amazing radio to name a few. Just two months after the debut release, Ami X is ready to make waves with the next heart-stopper ‘Traffic’.

Formerly known as Auguste, Ami X garnered widespread attention from respected tastemakers like Tom Robinson and Natalie-Eve Williams with her debut single ‘Don’t Let Me Down’ resulting in BBC6 plays and a live BBC Introducing session, also earning her an invitation to support the Polydor Records-signed artist, Declan J Donovan.

Traffic’ follows just two months after Ami’s exciting debut and opens a wider door to artist’s inner world. The new single offers a glimpse into a darker side of Ami’s sound, merging undulating synths with her haunting airy vocal that creates a mesmerising soundscape.
