Admiring Shakka

As someone who used to have the ‘Shakkapella’ videos on repeat, I was very excited to see how Shakka would approach this album.

Shakka invited fans on his journey from early. With him doing covers of well-known tracks, fans got the opportunity to appreciate Shakka for his talents.

This then turned into tracks which allowed fans to understand and appreciate Shakka. Natural progression meant tracks soon became EP’s and before we knew it, Shakka fans were craving a full body work from the creator.

The journey up until this point has been a lengthy one, with Shakka offering us some stunning projects like, ‘The Island’. His EP’s were received well; Shakka had fans in awe of his talent.

His debut album, ‘Road Trip To Venus’ has now been released. With there being so much anticipation for the album, fans carried a bit of anxiety for its release. We all wanted this album to bang and so far it seems Shakka has done the business as fans have been showing the album a lot of love online.

Rather than speak on highlights from the album, I instead urge you to play this album from start to finish. Yes there will be tracks you naturally gravitate to, but there are so many great songs that I rather entice you to discover your own personal favourites.

Road Trip To Venus’ acts as a beautiful body of work from Shakka. The tracks gel really well together, making it seemingly hard to skip through any of them.  Minimal features on the album mean you get to digest more of Shakka.

With such a unique voice, it’s great to have the opportunity to take in so many tracks. An album that was well worth the wait, Shakka demonstrates that he really is one of our shining lights. A prominent person in music, please take in this stunning album from Shakka.
