A.I.M – Composure Lost, Composure Found

Following a string of successful singles, South London’s luminary A.I.M has returned with the release of his anticipated mixtape, ‘Composure Lost, Composure Found’.

Featuring pre-released singles “Payroll”, “Wavy & Navy”, “Coins” and fan favourite “White Cocaine”, alongside collaborations with acclaimed rapper Novelist, Benji Smalls, PREM, K Menz, and Kofi Kay, A.I.M has created a mixtape bursting with lyrical substance over a genre-bending palette rooted within Afrobeats, British rap, and more.

Boasting his reputed versatility, ‘Composure Lost, Composure Found’ is a testament to A.I.M’s growth both musically and personally over the years. Documenting his twenty something’s through skillful lyricism, the wordsmith weaves elements of Afrobeats and UK Rap over an assortment of irresistible backdrops, forming a comforting familiarity speckled with depth and emotion, further solidifying his one-to-watch status.

Opening the mixtape with “Life’s Perspective at 26”, A.I.M immediately offers a thought-provoking track flaunting his ability to form deeper connections with a growing audience through the use of candid lyrical content. Navigating the challenges of everyday life as a growing adult, the head-bopping production paired with his bouncing flows creates a strong introduction to the mixtape. Journeying through the feel-good pre-released singles “Payroll”, “Wavy & Navy”, “Coins” alongside K Menz, and “White Cocaine” featuring Benji Smalls, A.I.M continues to prove his versatility through a series of summer sizzlers.  Joining forces with Kofi Kay and fellow Navy collective member PREM in “100”, “Holy Trinity” is a hip-shaker for the ladies. Exploring the sweet temptation from a fellow love interest, A.I.M switches up the vibe in “Together” providing a moment of duality with his gruff vocal tone over an EDM-woven production. Beginning to close out the project with “Ofc”, an addictive spin that encapsulates the UK’s underground rap scene, he teams up with heavy-hitter Novelist in the Grime soaked release “Diligence”. Championing the genre that paved a lane for many, this wheel-up worthy single is a must for your playlists. Ending the mixtape on “Eagle Eyes”, ‘Composure Lost, Composure Found’ is a significant milestone in his promising career ahead.

Speaking on the ‘Composure Lost, Composure FoundA.I.M commented, “‘Composure Lost, Composure Found’ – a narrative of my life thus far. A testament to the transformative power of adversity and self-reflection.”

A.I.M, an acronym for ‘Ambitious Independent Musician’, is an up-and-coming multi-talented artist and producer from Brockley, South London. A member of the Navy music collective [Novelist, PREM, etc], A.I.M draws from 90s R&B, Hip Hop, UK Grime as well as Ghanaian Hiplife to form a diverse sound that he refers to as “vibes on unlimited supply”. Pushing his Ghanaian heritage to the forefront of his music, “My West African influence is important, it’s the core for me. It’s something I can never forget, my Dad’s record collection consisted of old school West African legends.” Housing support from CLASH Magazine, VIPER, The Line of Best Fit, Mixtape Madness, OFFIE Magazine, and more, A.I.M’s studious tendencies has formed a diverse palette that makes it impossible for him to be boxed into one sound.
