So with a jam-packed lineup featuring some heavyweights of the club scene. Who did I see? When? And Where? I hear you ask? We asked our crackpot team of experts the same question. And here’s exactly what they said.

So check out the five acts we’re saying you better not miss at Seaside Beano!

Goldie, the godfather of Drum & Bass, label supremo and serial trendsetter. When we say there’s levels in the game. Goldie is very much top of the list, with over 30 years at the forefront of a UK musical frontier. Seeing Goldie live is a privilege whether DnB is your flavour or not. ‘The Cause’ team have pulled off a coup getting this GOAT on the lineup for their inaugural event.

Shy One epitomises the best parts of diversification and eclecticism. This London based producer and DJ fuses her Grime originals with Hip Hop, Jazz, House and Brokenbeat to create a truly unique sound that’s difficult to define but combines to devastating effect. Listen to her most recent Bolier Room Set, and you’ll get a sense of the talent on show. Stints on Rinse FM & NTS have further helped to enhance her reputation as a serious tastemaker.

Irish born DJ, producer and Céad label boss Or:la has been on a truly remarkable journey. From throwing raves in abandoned buildings to playing at the world’s most respected clubs and festivals. Tearing down stages at Lost Village and Field Maneuvers, to name a few. Or:la recently won DJ Mag’s coveted Best DJ Award which is a huge accolade considering some of the previous winner’s Andy C, Eats Everything and DJ EZ. Serious props are needed for managing to get this super talented DJ on the lineup!!

Ell Murphy is an artist who first came to our attention this time last year.

While doing our usual digging for music that bangs, we discovered her release with Tuff Trax titled, ‘Close’.

Carrying heavy UKG elements, ‘Close’ was a certified floor filler and one of those track’s ravers would anticipate the DJ spinning in the club.

It then became knowledge to us that ‘Close’ was part of an EP which contained more gems. UK Garage was flowing through these tracks; we were messing with this EP in a major way.

The next release we came across from Ell was her track with Soundboy Cookie titled, ‘Make It’.

This track possessed the usual components you would associate with UKG, club goers were more than happy with this release.

Her output continued with the release of her solo EP on Shall Not Fade. This EP garnered much attention and showed Ell was here to stay.

We then began to check out her mixes and they too were just as solid. Ell has guest mixes on Hor Berlin, Rinse and Reprezent, just to name a few. Check out one of her mixes below

Solidifying her name onto our radar list with her music releases and clean mixes, Ell Murphy is a name you cannot afford to miss at Seaside Beano.

We have been appreciating Oblig’s mixes for a while now.

A mainstay on Rinse, his mixes are always clean and enlighten us on music and acts we may not have heard before.

Playing fresh, current and old school Grime tracks, Oblig is a name we check in on on a regular basis.

His latest Rinse FM set saw him go B2B with Oneman and featured Riko Dan, Scrufizzer & SD9. Thanks to Oblig we heard an array of new tracks and were also introduced to Oneman.

Oblig uses his platform to shed light on music that may not get a lot of exposure but bangs; this is why we check in on him on a continuous basis.

At Seaside Beano, Oblig goes B2B with Skee Mask and we have a feeling these guys will walk away from this festival with everyone talking about their set.

These two have the ability to drop one of the best mixes of the event.
